My XJ's hood has never opened normally. I've always had to go under the jeep and reach for the cord and pull it left/right for the hood to pop.

Well now he hood pops but the let latch of the truck (drivers side) is stuck and I can't get it to unlatch like the other side. So one side is popped but the other side latch is stuck Can anyone give me any advice?

I am leaking power steering fluid everywhere and really need to get this hood opened to get it fixed.

Your going to have to take the headlights out and than some more items to unscrew the whole mechanism (latch plus where it latches too) and then the hood will pop open. Be careful when you open it that the parts shouldn't fall (the washers and nut, screw ...). I also think you only just have to take apart the defective side since you say the other side is already open (Just make sure to open the other side before you start taking it apart).
