Drivetrain Vibration
1999 Cherokee automatic. 110 K miles. Completely stock, 8.25 rear end.
Noticeable vibration/buzz with moderate-hard acceleration up to 40 mph. The buzz disappears over 40 but then I get a low wheel-speed rumble with very slight vibration from the rear when under slight load. If I feather the throttle it gets a bit louder. No vibration or noise when decelerating. No clunk from neutral to reverse. Slight clunk reverse to drive.
Replaced all driveshaft u-joints and rear axle bearings. Now I'm thinking rear carrier bearings. Any ideas/recommendations appreciated. Thanks!
