Yeah if I pick up power from under the dash that would be one wire out. Probably just pull the the wire from my cig lighter and use that.

OK I'm about 3/4 of the way through. These things are a little bit of a PITA, seeing how I had to take off the bumper to mount them. Anyway....where exactly do I tap into the fuse panel under the dash????

Even with a relay you can still burn up wiring.

There a couple of ways to do it. If all your doing is pulling power to power the switch you can get fuse blade taps and just plug the wire into an existing fuse. That would be the easiest and the best. Or you can just strip a few inches of wire and then pull a fuse and wrap the wire around one of the blades and plug it back in. If you want a fuse that comes on with the ignition you'll need to find a voltage meter and test the different fuses to see which ones come on with the key.

Here is what the fuse tap looks like. You can get these at most auto parts stores or worse case scenario...radio shack

That says 84-88 style fuse panel. Hope that applies to 93 as well.

True, thats one reason I mentioned if only to power the switch/relay. Not the lights. The power for those should be taken from a better source. I powered my switch using this method and has worked fine. A long long LOOOONG time ago I powered a cb....but that had a lot of interference (now its connected straight to battery).

The power would be going from the fuse box, to the switch, then to the lights. So ultimately that would be power for the lights. But yeah I will be tapping into an open slot, not connecting to an actual fuse.
