Default Driving lights legal in Illinois?

I know there are multiple posts on this topice, trust me i search everything first. Only thing is i live in illionis, and i couldnt find a post particular to my case. I just installed a set of BAJA driving lights on my front bumper. I didnt do anything to them, the wiring is completely stock. I was wondering if they are legal to use on the road like it says on the package? or do i have to keep them covered?

if it says they are legal for on-road use then i wouldn't worry about it. they wouldn't put that on the box if they weren't legal in all 50 states. sometimes you will see on lighting products in small print saying, not legal in all 50 states.

Yes, they are legal to use in IL, BUT you are supposed to turn them off when meeting oncoming traffic.

IF are mounted above the HDL's, they have to be covered and cannot be used on the road.

Thats not completely true. Some states require them to be 55w or less to be used on road. and to be covered if above headlights.

They are mounted below the headlights.

Alright cool, I'll run with them on. How do you have your ajustex height wise? Do you have them pointed directly where your low beams are, or slightly higher?
