DRL (daytime running lights) and headlight harness
Has anyone figured out how to splice the DRL back into the headlights after installing an upgraded headlight harness?
Since I forgot to check whether the DRLs run the high beams or low beams at 50%, can anyone tell me this?
I believe I should be able to take the wire that fed the low voltage to the low beams (or is it the high beams?) and splice it in after the relay.
Before anyone suggests, I do not want to delete/disable the DRL module.

The DRL module runs the low beams at a reduced output, I have no idea what voltage though.
There are two ways to pull this off. DRLs are "wired in" from the start. The issue with the harness is that the ****ty Putco relays don't engage fully with the low DRL voltage. Simply replacing them with relays that will accept a lower control voltage will make them work fine, although at full output. Or you could bypass the relays and run a wire from the module to the new harness.

I take it your area has some regular inspections that require working DRLs? I just turn my headlghts on whenever I go anywhere. DRLs don't run the taillights anyway.

I used relays which do run full voltage as soon as the DRL module is plugged in. I think my plan is to cut the output wire to the low beams from the DRL module and splice it in after the relay to the low beam output. I will post back if this works out ok.

Ahhh you're in BC! Couldn't see that from the phone app.
Sounds like you've got it figured out, if you can determine which wire from the DRL module is your low beam output.
