Drop Brackets vs Y-link long-arms
Which would perform better between control arm drop brackets ($200) and a Y-link long-arm set up ($600)? The drop brackets seem like they would do the same thing as a 4-link kit, but for a fraction of the cost... they just don't have that long-arm "cool factor".
What are some pros and cons of each? Preferably with facts or logic to back it up.
Thanks,
Jeep450r

what y link are you gettin for $600?
anyway both of those options essentially do one thing; lessen the angle of your control arms for better suspension geometry which has plenty of benefits
drop brackets will be the best bet for your money
but like said, are less cool
some people are not fans of y link kits because of their tendency to "unload" on steep obstacles

How exactly do they unload? Pics or vids of it happening? Only when going up steep obstacles??

...been researching this as well. I think LAs, are a better option just for the fact they are what everyone upgrades to. Also, I have talked to many who have the DBs, and they have all told me, they tend to bang them up on stuff alot. And they have all gone to LAs, or would like to.
