Dual Battery Wiring Diagram (Questions)
I tried using the other threads that are posted on this subject but they end up just confusing me more....
I already have the 120 amp solid state isolator
just seeing if i have it correct... I want to be able to drain the cheap les shwab battery and then have the accessories die... then when i want to turn the key over and not hear the dreaded "click click click"...
any input appreciated.
I will upgrade the OEM battery/ground/alternator cables to 4 gauge wire...
there are many diagrams floating around here... but they involve relays and solenoids and switches in the cab for jumping your self if your main battery dies... i just want to keep it simple.
I would like to have the batteries "seperate" when the key is turned off... couldn't I use a relay on the isolator ground wire and use the ignition as the "switch" so turning the key on would send a current to the relay causing it to switch and complete the ground circuit "activating" the isolator.... or do i not need to worry about this... since the isolator has this built into the circuitry... i just have looked at too many solenoid dual battery diagrams and they have it...????
