Wrong.
They use whatever is least expensive.
If you build a million cars and you get a part that does the job for $1.00 less than another part that works basically the same, which one do you think they are gonna use.
If you buy a Lambo or a Mercedes Amg or even some of the hi-po BMWs do you think you'll find a champion in there?
Jeeps: High volume low profit margin Cheap plugs
BMW etc: low volume High profit margin expensive plugs
Why? Because they work better and last longer which equals to greater customer satisfaction which keeps them coming back.
We really should get over ourselves here.
Yes our heeps are the best ride in the world. It was a fluke.
I'm sure we even surprised the bean counters at AMC/Chyrsler but if they were really so good they'd still be making them.

well these days with goverment mandates about fuel mileage and all the comptetition between car companies, everybody wants to have the advantage. if that means even just +1 mpg, that is a really cheap alternative to redesigning engine designs and computer controls for that model year. if that one extra mpg puts you ahead against your competetor your probably gonna sell more.

Those E3 plugs are useless. Electricity will always follow the same path, the path of least resistance. So no matter how much area you cover with a tip the spark will always follow the same route. The excess metal will create heat differences in the combustion chamber which is never a good thing.

I Have them in my 99 sport, and i got a noticable difference in gas miliage. I can not give you an acurate mileage beacuse my spedo is off, which makes my odometer off. I ran then in my old 91 jeep, when i had champions in there I could not spin the tires all that well. Now after the change over I could spin those tires like no other. Now maybe i am the exception in my two jeeps

I run the E3's. Ive had them for over a year. After installing them i noticed a smoother idle. The champions i pulled out looked real good still. I get between 7-15 more miles per tank. So roughly 1/2 mpg saving.
