early H.O. to 98 intake manifold swap
Can someone make a faq covering everything that is necessary to do this swap, like I know 93 has different parts than a 96, and I know the information is out there but there is alot to sift through, would be very convenient if someone made a FAQ for the differences in years installing late model intake and posted it here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/

I did it on a 95. Just get the intake, PS pump and brackets associated with it. Bolts right up but in 2000 they changed the flange thickness and i have to grind down my header to make it fit

Can you give a better description of the flange thickness and what you had to grind down. I am installing same time as I am doing borla header, and I know I will have to put a dimple in header and grind a bit away at #5 to make it fit, might look into ceramic coating for heat issues unless the coating is to thick. I will take alot of pictures and make a write up.

Advice for anyone that wants to do this swap, just pay the $50 or whatever and get brackets from dealer, around these parts there aren't any post 95 Cherokee's in junkyards I have access to, and they kept bringing wrong parts, and all the junkyards I had access to only had pre-95, had some grand cherokee's after 95 but all v8, one guy said he thought he had accidentally put a 4 liter 98 grand cherokee in the back of his lot, and it was in terrible front end collision, would have save a lot of time and money (time is money) just buying the bracket at dealership.
