Default Elec fan failure

I was driving along and was hearing a weird fan sound. I was a bad owner and it took me a few days to crack the hood. The electric fan, some people call it the accessory fan or AC fan.
It had popped out a little and was rubbing against the pulley right in front of it, I popped it back in, A friend of mine said the bearings were failing so after popping it back in can I use the AC/heat until the new one shows up in the mail?
Is it a simple pull and put on the fan is there a secret somewhere waiting for me?

Electric fans are pretty easy to do. Two bolts on top and the electrical connector. As long as the clutch fan is still good, I'd keep on using the a/c.

It is pretty much straight forward and easy job, as long as they send you the right one.
