I have power windows on my Jeep and one motor went bad, the switch on the passenger side is dead, and the power locks dont work. I would get manual windows. The van we have is also power window and both switches are bad. $80.00 a switch.

I've had no complaints about the switch controls on the drivers' side. The auto-down feature is nice when I'm approaching the base gate to present my ID. Now I know the passenger side control is up in the air, but that's because of the window lock button shorting.

My power windows suck. only the drivers window works on my 4 door. Also, think of it this way: if you were to somehow drive your jeep off a bridge into a deep body of water, you can always roll down manual windows to escape...

my 88' had manual and I miss them, no key needed just roll it up or down.
My current 98' has power and all works good on drivers side but I have the problem with lock switch short that sometimes does not allow my passengers to use the power windows. I will fix it when I have time.
They need to ask me to raise and lower.
But power are nice when someone leaves a window open you don't have to reach.

I'll be the loner here. I love my power windows, especially when it is hot and I want all the windows down.

manual always made sence just because of all the mud thats getting drug down in with the window as i role it down...and at least with manual less things can break....easier to fix if they did.....i like power windows....just not for out in the bush i try to keep it purpose built and have it the best for the bushes thats where it spends more time..
