I've got 5.2 with switch in run position. I didn't check the MAP or oil pressure switch though.

Voltage is good in start position as well, so I'm fairly certain the switch is good.

Add note- fuel pump, HVAC and radiator fan all have juice and operate in run position.

Guess I was confused with your post 29 statement:

"Chased thr CPS circuit with a meter last night. I have 5.2v on the orange wires at both the CPA [CPS] and TPS. There is 12v on the ASR [ASD] posts 30 and 85, and there is 11.8v to the green/orange wire to the coil when cranking- 0v while key is just turned in the 'On' position."

Engine management sensors using a 5 volt reference voltage from the PCM should be available to each sensor with the key to RUN position, without starting the engine.

So.... It ended up being a bad wiring harness plug that feeds the coil.

Apparently something was jacked up inside the plug. The shop 'rebuilt' the plug and all is good. But, they suggested, and I agree, to find a replacement harness plug.

Anybody know where to source a new end? I'd prefer not to go the boneyard route, as my luck dictates I'd be buying one worse than what I began with. 😁
