Emergency Brake Problem
The emergency/hand brake in my 92 XJ won't lock into place. I pull the lever and it applies the brakes but as soon as I let go it drops down. No clicks, no locking.

JMO. my brother had a car that did this if you can look at the mechanism. there is a little ratchet inside there on the ratchet there is a catch with a spring on it. his spring broke so it never set into the lock position. take a look may just be a $1 spring
