Default Emergency injector removal help please

For the life of me I cannot get the injectors out. All research says they "pull " out. Mine refuse. Twisted the hell outa #1 to loosen it but i wont come out.
Wildcard: fuel line also refused to disconnect so I unscrewed it at throttle body and have to cradle that stupid rusty a$$ thing during this process so I dont bust it.
Advice? Ideas? Thankyouthankyou in advance

I've found that if you try to pull the fuel rail out by gripping it in the middle of the rail you're fighting all the injectors. I pull up on the end of the fuel rail at the end closest to the fuel line disconnect, releasing #1 injector, then gradually move towards the rear, pulling up on the rail. They will come out easy this way.

Chill out.

Edit: Just reread your post. I guess you can't get the injectors out of the rail.

Use penatrating oil and let it sit while you chill out and wait a bit, then try again.

Ok. 4 of them are out. I'm guessing the TPS is not thrilled with its fuel bath (drained the rail before, I swear!)
Thanks ccken- I just didn't know if I was overlooking something obvious to remove them.

And really? Chill out? Haha. Out of daylight and if I don't put this thing back together before my bedtime (5 minutes ago), I have to suffer using my kid's Neon...nooooo!
Ok... Soakin time over. Back to it. Thanks for keepin it light

I believe that plastic end stays connected. Is there a hole in it for fuel to spray through?

The plastic pintles caps stay on. The basically retain the o-rings and shield them from the heat exhaust in the combustion chamber. The OEM ones don't use them since there is a small metal lip at the bottom of the injectors for that purpose.

Yes yes. And many thanks. Took a bit of googling but I eventually saw that those were to stay on. Managed to get it all back together. No leaks or big booms so far

Good timing for this as I'm waiting for my "New" Injectors to get here now from Programbo. I'm doing a the complete tune-up and install the Bored Throttle Body all at the same time.

In fact I'm going to spray some penetrating oil on the injectors along with the other connections that need to be removed. That bit of information may have saved me some time and trouble and won't hurt a damn thing.

It seems like they should have shown up by now. Let me try and find the tracking number and see where they are.

Don't forget to put some K-Y Jelly on the injector before inserting it.
