I don't mind going OEM ... looks like $75-ish for the line? My initial concern was busting up the present line connector while trying to get it off in order to do a replacement and causing whatever collateral damage I may to the fuel rail portion (given that the line connector wouldn't budge for me a couple days ago).
Hence, my hesitant willingness to replace the rail too if advisable (at least wrestling with the injectors again is a "known" quantity on my PITA task scale). But I'd prefer NOT to put out big bux for a new rail, and the last couple I've seen at the JY looked no less corroded than mine.
[lightbulb goes off] ..admittedly, I didn't think to check which years/ models would be compatible so as to widen my choices out there. Common sense suggests anything with the I6?

Unfortunately that line goes all they way back to the fuel tank so it must be salvaged. I did manage to get mine disconnected here without damage. I just wire wheeled what corrosion I could get at and called it good. I left the o-rings in the connector and they held good with the new line pluged in. Just remember to put some motor oil on the tube before inserting it in to the connector.
I bought a 2000 XJ 4.0 fuel rail off Evilbay. I like the 2000 rail because it has round end caps instead of the sharp edge end caps of earlier years. I had to de-rust and paint the thing before using it. If you do, use Duplicolor Engine Enamel. It's good for high temp and it's fuel & oil resistant.
As far as years go, I think 99-01 would be good, and the GC/Wrongler rails will work as well.
