engine fire rebuild on a 91 xj limited
just purchased this 91 xj...had a small engine fire on the drivers side mostly. Got it home today and removed the fenders and all the plastics and most of the wiring.I think the engine will be ok outside of the injectors and plastics...pulling soon.
Im not opposed to using junkyard parts but not sure about cross parts per year.
we cut the main harness where it goes into the firewall and around the passenger side near the heater...no damage to the wires...hoping to splice to avoid interior wiring...good idea???
Any thoughts would be helpful....
PS it will mostly be a daily driver with occasional trips for hunting and light wheeling.
