Got my engine/radiator/heater core flushed. Everything is back to normal now. Had to flush it twice it was really bad. I'd recommend doing this even if you don't have sludgy coolant, heat is the hottest its ever been.

I would keep a close eye on it to make sure that it doesn't come back. If it does, You have a bigger problem. Hopefully not. Wish you luck on it.

What did you use to flush it?

When I flushed my radiator last the sludge came back within 15 minutes of running the car. I've been keeping an eye on it and so far so good, nice green coolant.

I took it to the shop, as I don't have anywhere to dispose of the hazardous fluids.

If it does it again, you probably have the infamous 0331 cracked head.

If your oil pressure is also low, the bearings are gone too.

I'd be surprised if they could fully flush all of that sewage out of there. DAMN! I'd be replacing the entire system.

Oil pressure holds good, that was never a problem, engine temp was always fine too.

I am guessing they got most, if not all of the nastyness out. My heat is basically like having a sun in the Jeep. I'll monitor for the next few weeks.

I recently went through the same with my 99. I'm gonna keep an eye on it for a couple months. If it's nasty again I'm gonna start looking into doing a head swap

Dang man. That radiator looks similar to mine and my HG just blew. Glad to see you got it worked out.
