Default Engine or Manifold????

Hi All I was driving my 1996 Jeep Cherokee and it had a lifter knock around#1 not a big deal so I thought. Yesterday I started it up and it had a much louder knock in the same area, Then while driving it today It started to leak coolant all over the engine seems to be coming from the top around #4 cy;linder Does this sound like an engine or a manifold problem any help would be appreciated

THanks

Are you overheating? Sounds like a bad head gasket to me.

didn't really overheat just started spewing coolant over the engine compartment
this evening was driving ok up until that point with the really loud ticking coming from the top of cylinder one. It would go away when I let off the gas and would comeback when at idle or accelerating
