Well if you do wanna call it quits there's one last thing to try. Seafoam her trough the brake booster and some in the oil. Follow the link on my sig. It's with a shot. Cheaper than doing the timing setup. Maybe she's gunked up.

Well if it's only happening on steep hills something isn't allowing it to breath. Could be cat going oil. Oil cooler was an option, I think, but you can get an aftermarket one easily. Good luck keep looking around. I don't want you to drop in an engine and still have an issue

Hell it's worth a shot. I'm at a slight lose. Never personally had this issue but trying to think of anything that would have the symptoms. Once again good luck and please keep posting results
