Did replace the positive wire too, after kicking myself for not seeing that the pictured one was not automotive... It was really stiff, probably contributed to it coming out of the connector in the first place.
Are the Frams really that bad?

x2 on the "other items" and yes, I would have been lost without my multi-meter!

It worked well for a day after the repairs, then did the same thing. This time, the fuel pump relay was somehow hanging and backfeeding power after the key was turned off. Replaced the relay and it appears good for now... will have to chase any more gremlins if they come up.

Wix also makes the Napa Gold series (didn't know they made the Carquest Blue OEM though, good info)
