Default Entire engine gets covered in mud

Hey guys,

I love taking it off road but every time I take it through the mud the engine gets heavily caked with it and I'm sure there is an adjustment to keep it from getting as dirty as it is. Also, my alternator is not charging my battery and I was wondering if there is a way to salvage the part without replacing it (maybe just dry it out..?)

Thanks,
Kong

Only way to keep engine from getting muddy....dont drive through mud. It sucks having the alternator that low too...I have gone through three. thats when you buy a lifetime warranty one and just hand it back to them

Well, is there a way to clean it more effectively? And is there a specific alternator that you'd recommend?
