Default Error code P0705 and P1694

It's time to get my 2000 Cherokee inspected for the year and I have some error codes that need fixing but no clue on how to do so,,,

All the other codes were easy enough to fix (i think i figured them out anyway) so im not too concerned about those at the moment, however this transmission code has been the head scratcher. Several months ago I did bang up the front suspension a bit but I check the transmission out to see if it got hit too and saw no noticeable damage, which is the only thing I can think of to give that p1694 code, no problem shifting into park drive reverse etc.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

That 0705 code is the range sensor. According to the wiring diagrams I've seen, it looks like each position has a contact. Generally, people will align the range sensor by putting the vehicle in reverse while someone watches the backup lights. Loosen it up, rotate until the lights come on, tighten when done. This isn't the first time I've seen this code, including mine. I did a manual swap and couldn't get it to go away until I wired the entire sensor back up. Want to know something weird? Without even ONE of the contacts wired up, it would give me a 0705. What's got me wondering is how Chrysler made the ECU know that it wasn't wired? I could shift from Park to Drive and never once go to 3 or 1-2, but it never gave me that code... even though those contacts never made while I would drive it. But leave one unwired and somehow the ECU knew that it wasn't there. As soon as I wired it back up (and I'm referring to the completely useless 3 and 1-2 contacts in the range sensor) the 0705 and 0700 went away.

Not sure I can help with the 1694. There is an impact sensor that's for the airbags, but I don't know what type or where.

Went out and put it into reverse and no brake lights came on, didn't check the bulbs but I highly doubt theyd both blow out. Ill have to get some help with adjusting that sensor.
