Evap large leak/misfire

I'm going to give you guys the full story in hope that I can figure this out! I've been lurking on here for a while troubleshooting and I've yet to solve my issue, so here goes!
2 months ago I was having a multiple cylinder misfire code, so first things first I replaced all spark plugs. That didn't work so I took it to my guy and he said the ignition rail was the culprit. Replaced that, and at the same time pulled all injectors cleaned them up cleaned up the connectors, dielectric grease on everything, and misfire didn't resurface again, nice smooth idle and running like a champ!
Fast forward to three weeks ago, large leak EVAP code popped up with a slight smell of gas in the cabin. So I checked out the fuel filler cap, all looked good, cleared the code and all was good. Now a few days ago CEL came back on and on a cold start was idling a little rough(not misfire rough, just not a nice smooth idle). Today I took it back to my guy to have a smoke test done for the fuel system. Results?? He says the fuel system is nice and tight but I have my EVAP code and now a misfire code!! (Cylinder 3) I trust that this guy checked the system well, so with no vacuum leaks, good gas cap, nice tight fuel system what could be causing this?!
After doing more research here tonight I've read that the EVAP solenoid COULD be shot if it has an obnoxiously loud tick(which mine does). Others say that is not the case...
Could a shot solenoid be causing the EVAP code, and in turn be causing a misfire?
Or are the two completely unrelated?
Any other ideas or opinions?
Sorry for such a lengthy post but I really want to get the the bottom of this...
Thanks in advance for any help guys!

Cap off the port in the intake manifold where the line from the Evap solenoid runs to the manifold. If that cures your misfire, your question is answered! (In terms of the misfire)

Thanks for the tip! Only problem is recreating the misfire, it happens very rarely...only when the EVAP code first pops up and then runs smooth as silk the rest of the time. It threw the code when I had the Jeep idling outside warming up with my remote starter the first time, so it was just by chance that I started it one day while sitting in it to let it run for a few and I saw the rough idle for a quick minute, and BOOM CEL popped up!
