That's not going to add metal back to the bearings and rings.

IDK, the pistons look too dirty to me for coolant to be in the combustion chamber. Perhaps, it wasn't run long with coolant in the oil.

Bearings aren't in the combustion chamber.

Any coolant on the bearings is too long.

I may have only run it for 3 miles with coolant in the oil,unless it was dumping into a cylinder for a few days (30 miles) prior to the radiator giving out.

I'm just saying the bottom end (bearings) may be okay. If coolant is mixed with oil for a substantial amount of time, it would also show up as clean pistons.

Good job on the valve cover. For the rod bearings, there is what I would do and what you should do.

I would put the head back in order and run it paying special attention to any funny sounds from underneath. But I would recommend pulling the oil pan and physically inspect them.

Valve cover done.
Got the head back from the machine shop.
One thing leads to many with this jeep.
Had to get a new water pump this week. Old one was stripped at the outlet pipe.
