I noticed you have a cat on the exhaust. I wonder if thats making yours sound quieter than mine.

At some point, I need to get a video up of mine and how it sounds. Its a rattle trap joke of a sound. Even the ricest ricers are jealous of how ricey it sounds.

And yeah I like the V8 sound too...and your right, you just can't get it out of a 4 or 6 banger.

I bet the cat does quiten it down some. Usually i am one to take the cat off. But i didn't wanna mess with the rear O2 sensor. What did you do for that?

Post up a video i wanna here it.

And i am glad someone can agree with me on that.

I agree on the deep sound only coming from a V-8. I have twin lines on my Pinto with a V-6 no cats and I don't know what mufflers but it aint got a deep tone that I like. But still sounds good. Nice setup and sound on your XJ.

No offense to you at all but it cracks me up. And i see this on 2.3 turbo boards and other 4/6 cyl forums. Of how they want a deep V8 rumble. You just ain't gonna get it without a V8.
Oh I know that's why I opted for a more quiet setup on mine..Like I said I don't prefer the ricey sound but I like the nice v8 rumble but that won't happen so quiet it is.. Although it looks sharp and sounds good for the sound it produces..

Gut the Cat. Leave everything else if you thats what you want. It will make your check engine light come on that about it.

Yeah i know i could gut the cat. I don't want a check engine light on. I will just leave it. Thanks for the input though.

Pulling the cat or gutting the cat will make the site administrator very unhappy. Kyle has called a couple of ppl for that already. Just a heads up.

Yeah it's illegal and not exactly good on the environment...I don't condemn anyone I just wouldn't do it on my jeep or any other vehicle...

Yeah, we have no emission laws. We don't care about the environment, but you best watch them tires, boy! Don't let them stick out past your fenders.

gotta love the govt more worried about tires then emissions ...here we have no inspections but you are required to run a cat converter...in fact if memory servers it's federal law on running a cat even if the local govt doesn't require an emissions inspection if the vehicle cam e originally equipped with one..My buddy has a 73 chevelle and he runs a cat...loses a few HP but he considers it the responsible thing to do..
