Exhaust bolt sizes
Changing the front pipe on my 2001 XJ tonight after work. Can anyone tell me the bolt sizes for the connection at the down pipe and the converter? I'm sure mine are mostly rust by now.

Couldn't tell you what the stock ones were, but just pick up some new 9/16" bolts, probably 2" long and some washer/nuts to go with it. If it's that rusty you'll probably have to cut the old ones off, I don't think any of them are actually threaded flanges from the factory?

Looks like I might be going in there myself maybe. Might have to replace my cat. Getting a P0432 code. Just figured I would buy bolts that were close to what I too assume I am going to be cutting out because they are rusted on. Thinking they are nothing special. Don't forget the gaskets for both ends of the front pipe.
