Default Exhaust Decision?

Ive been looking at rustys flowmaster exhaust for my 93 cherokee, cant decide which one to get: cherry bomb, 40 or 50 series? which do you use and do you like the sound of it/ performance? also, are there any cheaper places to get it? ive read that the 40 series wont sound good on the 4.0, it said its better with a v8 engine only..thanks for the input

I have the 40 series on my 2000 and it sounds good. I've had people tell me that the jeep sounds good or ask what exhaust I have. I think rusty's just has their own opinion on sound. Everyone does. OF COURSE the 40 series will sound better on a V8, most exhausts do... I've heard the 4.0 with the cherrybomb and its loud, but doesnt really sound good. The 50 series sounds ok, but its definately not as loud as the 40 series. The 40 series is a good combination of deep and throaty. The 4.0 doesnt sound like a V8, but it has a nice sound. It can probably be best described as a throaty "moan" lol. listen to videos on youtube of a jeep with a flowmaster 40 or super 40 and you will know what I mean.

here are some quick easy steps to making your XJ sound like a muscle car. Step 1: Cut off exhuast from back of cat to the end of exhuast. Step 2: Start it up. Now you have a true muscle car sound.

the best way to get good sound on the cherokee with a cherry bomb is the glasspack. its like 20 bucks but it sounds good for the price. its definately something to look into. i have it and i like it alot. pretty loud too

i had the 40 series on mine i loved it. lost it on a wheeling trip just to put somethin back on i went the cherry bomb glass pack. it dont sound bad not like the 40 but not bad. it is louder though. it has a tendency to **** off the neighbors. i had to let it idle one day to recharge the battery and i some complainants. before i move i lived like 200 yards from my buddy and he said he could hear it in his house everytime i started it up after i put the cherry bomb on

Personally i went with the cherrybomb glass pack i thought it was lame at first but i couldnt have been happier now you can get the muffler at autozone for like 26$ bucks and i got 2 3/4 in. piping it sounds good deep but not to loud when im crusing but when im on it you can hear it and you will save money just got to some mexican muffler shop there usually cheap thats what i did...

a straight pipe will serve pretty much the same purpose as a glasspack, only difference is that there is no material to wear out inside of it.

I use a Spin Tech Sportsman. It gives a true big block rumble.
