Default exhaust hitting cross member

Can someone out there send me a pic of how the exaust is supported were it crosses over the transmission support cross member. My exaust pipe is resting on the crossmember and makes a horrible knocking sound all the time. I can see a support bracket on the crossmember with a rubber bushing but it is under the pipe and I am not sure how it can be used..Thanks

The original muffler had a bigger diameter brace going from it into the rubber hole. That is why the diameter of the two are different. I had to bend the brace up to keep mine off the crossmember also.
I took the crossmember off to do that...

Mine was doing this till I noticed that the rear hanger had rusted off the tail pipe. I bolted on one of the generic replacement import pins to go in the rubber. Snugged it up. No more noise.

Quick method is a sawzall... right before your um... you know that one thing that starts with a c that has an unmentionable name.... Then replace it with a cherry bomb and a homemade hanger. not a lot of $ and a cool reward. haha not really... Oreilly Auto parts has a whole assortment of universal hangers. I used one that looks kind like an L with an extra hook and a pipe clamp. Pretty easy to fix yourself if you have the correct tools.
