Long shot?
No offense to you or your dad but I really don't understand why you bother to waste your time on a forum like this if you have no interest in following the advice of members who absolutely know what they are talking about.
None of my business but I am curious.

Once you find out where its leaking out it's not that bad of a job to fix even if it is your RMS . You're already changing your own oil ,I always say when people ask me about working on stuff ,It's just nuts and bolts with some gaskets here and there

I will bet money that the oil filter adaptor O ring is leaking. It's the only seal on the engine that has any oil pressure on it. But chances are high the valve cover gasket is puking all over the place too. Low oil pressure and a massive leak would point me to the adaptor or the oil pressure sending unit.

My girlfriends jeeps oil pressure switch for the gauge malfunctioned.it was pissing oil everywhere, the seal inside blew. You should also check there. Easy fix and a cheap part.

There are similar products meant to seal up old leaky engines, but they do NOT have metal shavings in them!
I would not use such a product in an engine unless it were already basically shot, and you just want to keep it drivable for a little while longer. If you have good compression and aren't leaking oil into the combustion chamber, I would not use any of those products. They are not really good for an engine.
But please take the advice to clean things up and look for the leak. It might be the RMS, it might not. At this point, you don't know.
It's not time to be spending money on products or service. It's time to be finding a leak.
And if it IS the RMS, fine, you can tell your Dad he was right, then fix it yourself.

his dad doesn't want him fixing it in his garage cuz he knows it will end in disaster..... you seem worried about the money its going to cost to fix but not so worried about all the money you're spending on oil.... kinda an oxymoron ehh??
this started happening right after you changed the oil......
hmm, I have $20 to a day old donut that its as simple as your old filter seal stuck and you double whammied it....
**my advice**
you need to yield to the advice given by some very knowledgeable people in this thread, and yes one of them likes to yell a little....

This is something I have observed on forums:

I love these threads. Your dad just doesn't want $45 of motor oil all over his garage floor, ha ha. $300 for a RMS replacement is a pretty good price. You get a free oil change and pan gasket too. But seriously, replace the $1 seal on the oil filter, replace the oil filter, and do the VC.
Or door #3, metal shavings in the oil.
Aww did Bimmer get banned? I loved his posting style. Is that what someones sig is from? "I needed a 10 ton press to replace my wiper blades"
