Default Fender Flares

May be a stupid question but whats the best way to remove your fender flares? i have a 91. no i didnt search or read up on it so if there is a write up or another thread please post it thanks guys

i dont know about any write up, sorry. but i do know how to remove the flares. find the bolts that hold them on. clean them up. they r probably muddy or dirty. take the nut off. once you get all of them, the flare should just pull off.

sounds good. ive heard that most of them just break off

i think out of all 40 or so there were i broke all but maybe one bolt. it was at the end, and at that point i was actually trying to make it break haha. it was just easier and didnt really matter.

i think its a 10mm size head for all but the two bottom screws holding it on, which i forget what the are. maybe 8mm

I broke maby 2 when doing it. If you wanna keep them then just clean them up and spray them.

you can keep the flares without having the metal piece with the bolts and still reattach them later using locking washers or something else.

IMO not worth the entire can of PB to try to get them all off clean.

then again, my xj lived in Michigan for a while, so there is more rust on it than others might have.

i live in california. my jeep has no rust, but i still was only able to save like three of the bolts.
