I've been debating the flares too. I was wondering how much more road spray gets on the sides of the jeep. It's a DD so I gotta keep it sorta clean.

yeah x2 on what jd4x426 said. Where i live i would for sure take my flares off but i know the popo would be all over my a$$. Besides my tires stick out about an inch already with my stock flares on, they would be out at least 3 inches. Do your tires stick out at all right now?

I ran my old one flareless and this is the reason that I am going to try to keep the flares when I trim my new one's fenders. In the winter with all the salt and crap on the road, the sides of my blue jeep were almost white. To the point that I had to used snow to wipe the windows off every once in a while so I could see out to shoulder check. Flareless looks awesome though.

I got rid of my flares. Took them off then cut the sheet metal up 1 1/2 and the fold and roll. then took off about 4 1/2 inches off of the front skin and fold and roll. i will try to get picks. I need to prime and paint but all in all i am happy with the look and my hopes is that with this and the 3inch lift i got i will be able to fit 32's if not 33's

if you dont have flares and it could be a legal issue, dont drive like a madman to grab attention to yourself and you can get by. also, rusty's makes cut out flares that are quite a bit cheaper then the bushwackers

flareless is a very nice look,... but i had to put my flares back on cause of the mud. I use to like mud, now i avoid it. I put rubi flares[too wide, look goofy] but it keeps the mud off of the windshield, and mostly off of the side windows.

running flareless and stock no trmming.

im kinda torn your junk gets dirty fast and it really doesn't have a finished look. but it does look like you have a small lift.

I took mine off cause i was going to get larger tires but i ended up not getting them. If i could do it over agian i wouldnt have removed them.

pics in my build thread (link below)

I'm kinda digging the tj rear flares on all 4 corners of the xj. I've read some people saying that they do not like them, but to each his own. The good thing about the tj ones, are they are fairly cheap, especially compared to the bushwackers.

Here is a write-up that Jp magazine did on how to cut the fenders. They used the tj rear fender flares all the way around.

When you take the flares off is there any holes in the fenders from the flares? How do i take the flares off. I want my front fenders to look just like yours if i take my flares off. I love your jeep BTW
