Fender Speed Nuts/Clip Nuts?
Hi, been a long time since I've posted, both my XJ's have been gathering dust in the driveway. I wrecked my white '99 a bit coming home from work and had to replace the header panel and the passenger fender.
The question I have is, what is the correct PN I need to order for those little speed nut/nut clips that hold the fender onto the unibody? I ordered PN 11500662 from Crown off of Amazon, but when they arrived they weren't quite what I thought they were, and on top of that they were too large. I'm trying to save myself a trip to the JY because I'm so busy with work and family right now and I just want to get this thing back on the road. I mean, these can't be that hard to find, right? This is crazy. I was about to resort to just using regular nuts/bolts to reattach the fenders, but there are a few spots where this just wouldn't be practical because I wouldn't be able to fit a wrench behind it. My old speed nuts fell apart from being so rusted out. Please let me know, this is the closest thing I think I've found to what I had, but I'm wary of ordering anything else until I'm more sure of my choice.

Ok so I looked through clipsandfasteners.com's Chrysler section and these were the only 2 I was able to locate.
These look to be closest to what I need. Part of the problem is I live 7 miles away from where my Jeep is currently parked (I live in an apartment complex so I leave the XJ at Grandma's when it needs work) so I don't have the bolts to verify size.

And here is another similar looking nut but I think 5/16 is off...

I may end up having to just take one of the bolts down to home depot/ace/lowe's and test fit. This just baffles me because I went down to Huntington Beach Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep and sat behind the computer with the parts guy and seemingly tracked down the proper PN on his exploded diagram, 11500662, but those were waaay big. Side note, didn't realize clipsandfasteners.com's physical location was less than 10 miles away, no wonder my amazon order from them got here a week before expected.

I'll see if I can verify the size that for you when I run out for lunch. Just happen to be going right by the HD. I have replaced quite a few fenders and have a good collection of those fender bolts from my trips to the pick a part. I must have 20 extra fender bolts by now.

Nice, what year? I've been hunting for fenders at the JY a few times and noticed that even some of the different 97-01 years use different sizes, so I'm guessing it doesn't matter as long as the nut/bolt match up.

Originally was for a '99. By this point, I think I have pulled fender bolts from '97 through 2001 and they have all been the same. Here's the thread of my saga on fenders: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/reb...-apron-226647/. By this point, I have been through the entire front end of an XJ so pretty much know where every little thing is.
And my current adventure: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/0-c...others-233952/
By now, I can take the front end apart in 30 minutes.
