Im still working on getting my 90 xj up and running and had a few questions. I noticed that my oil pressure is high I think. when first start it reads the high end of 70 psi at about 700rpm it does go down after about 10 min of warm up then it drops to about 50 psi at 700 rpm. Is this normal? if high what could be causing it? I did notice a new oil spot on the ground under the jeep right at the back of the engine.
another problem that I have been trying to track down is the electric side mirrors do not work. I cant seem to track down the problem. the switch at the center console does not seem to be getting any power. any ideas?

Your oil pressure sounds like it is OK. My XJ also starts out high when cold but then goes down to approx 40-50 PSI once warmed up. As far as your mirrors go, I have never been an electrician so I will leave that to someone else.

 

my oil pressure also goes really high when starting it cold. so its probably normal.
