Default figured out my axle.

so i finally figured out what axle i have thanks to the site. but i am curious cause i bough the wrong gasket for a dana35. but will the diff cover housing gasket from a dana35 work for my chry 8.25? i hmatched the gasket up to the diff cover and it seems to match just fine. any help would be nice.

I have not tried it, but they are different shapes. Maybe you got the right gasket afterall? If all the holes line up and it stays in the right place all the way around, there is no reason not to use it. If it doesn't fit, you can always just use some RTV.
