Shouldn't be a huge issue. XJ's actually have a problem with the bolts backing themselves out overtime, so the truck pretty much does 1/2 the work for you.

add a lief
i will give you a fast run down
you will need c clamps and a rachet set
you prob got new clamps with the kit so befor you cut them off put the c clamps on the spring.
tighten them snug then you can get rid of the clamps on the spring now you have to unscrew the screw in the middle(with the clamps on)
once you have it out you can slowly unscrew the c clamps your kit should tell you were to put the leaf i am not sure were it gose.
it wouldnt hurt to spray liqwid rench on the bolts good luck and if i didnt explane it enof you can youtube it witch will be a lit easyer to understand then trying to figure out what i am tryen to explane lol

Probably, lol.
Back a few years ago when I was starting out, I did the same 3" lift on one of my old XJ's. Took 2 days of off & on work. Having a good assortment of tools, a jack, and a level head definitely help make things move alot smoother. You'll be fine!

Lmao, wish I could get that one back. Best one I ever owned. It lives in California now, belongs to a Marine, so I guess it has a good home.
But thats just an idea of where you should be. I ran stock control arms, and no t-case drop or pitman arm, still did work offroad and drove like a dream.
