Default Finally found a jeep.

94 sport, Already went through and fixed all the major stuff, shocks, valve cover gasket was leaking like the exxon valdez You could watch oil running out of it with the car running. lol went ahead and did rear brakes and master cylinder because the pedal felt like a$$. Patched some rust holes in the pass floor above the exhaust, truck bed coated the inside, couple of minor things here and there.

Got a gas leak, Last week I put it on jack stands and pressure washed the whole bottom side so I could truck bed coat it, after I did that I would start it up it a couple of times it would idle like crap like there was water in the gas, threw an 02 light, and then I put some gas in it from a gas can, and the inside smelled like gas. Bad. So I'm thinking there's a line on top of the tank that's got a hole in it. Already got a filler/vent hose coming, going to change those and ALL rubber lines and vacuum lines and fuel filter while I'm under there. Prob gonna drop the tank all the way out and wash it out good, no telling what kind of craps in it. Is there anything else I need to look for concering the leak? Maybe fuel pump gasket?

Also, I want to do LSD in the rear, would it be easier to get RPO/VIN codes and find one in a junkyard and do a whole diff swap or just do the chunk?

the rustoleum rattle can stuff, Just on the bottoms of the floor pans, frame and fenderwells. I've done it to all my other vehicles, just quietens the ride a little.

The problem is it can hold/trap moisture against the metal.

I had heard the undercoating stuff was bad about that, thats why I went the bedliner route since it was harder. I'll prob end up stripping it off later then. Any ideas on the gas leak tho?

It's probably going to need a fuel module, the lines rust out.

"the inside smelled like gas" Unless you spilled gas on yourself it's coming from the outside so you'll need to poke around to see where it's coming from. Could be the filler, vent, one of the fuel lines, exhaust, injector,……….
