The white plastic piece that gets pushed down to allow it to shift somehow got broke. Is just that piece replaceable or do I need to buy the whole assembly? Many thanks!
the thing that I kind of colored in the tip broke off.Is this a separate item or do I have to replace the whole shifter?

Well it appears the TJ people there is breaking on one of the ball section almost all the way down and they are fixing there's with plastic coat hanger or chop sticks cut to length.

Well tried a plastic coat hanger and it was just too stiff for the bend and just would not make the last bit spring up to make the switch to where you can remove the key. Fixed it by just cutting off small piece of the coat hanger and using it to fill in the amount missing for the original. Gonna look for the OEM piece and replace it correctly. Also the piece just pulls right out.
