Flex plate noise question?

Flex plate noise question?
Could a flex plate, make a grinding noise, like a brake grinding kind of sound, like dry metal while moving but no noise when stopped?
Most everything I have seen has been a knocking sound, but can it grind while in motion?

The flex plate it turning constantly, as long as the engine is running. I dont see how it would only make noise while in motion. If you have a grinding sound while in motion, I would start looking for bad bearings somewhere or a brake problem.

That's what I thought, but I'm a noob with a lot of this stuff.
Just thought I'd check with the pros...
Got all new brakes rotors and calipers so.. Going to do wheel bearings next payday.
Thanks
