Default Floor Pan Replacement Question

My 2000 Sport has 0% solid metal east of the transmission tunnel. The rockers are reasonably solid and the frame is still decent, but the floorpan has turned to dust, including the passenger seat mounts. My question is, when I weld and seam seal in the new floor pans, how do i go about rebuilding the seat mounts. I know of a company in KC or somewhere that still makes the front mount rail, but the rear seems to just be a reinforcment bar welded to the pan from the inside of the trans tunnel. I'm not sure if you can even buy that part or if thats just a factory integral part of stock floor pan. Is it possible just to zap some 1/8's plate and weld a stud in the rough location of the old reinforcment bar and call it a day?

you could probably fab your own with some angle and flat bar for cheap. weld a nut or stud in.

The way the seats are bolted down is super simple. If you can weld new floor pans in then a simple bracket setup for the seats should be no problem at all. As long as they are secure. It doesnt have to be pretty

I agree with the other comments about making your own if you cannot find a replacement. Just measure everything and build and reinforce it. I was lucky mine was not rusted out but did have to still cut it out to fix some rust holes. Also I ordered all my pans from fixmyrust for about $55 each( they are no longer taking orders now) which uses key parts so they were good pans and was perfect in fitment, has the factory ribbing and metal was not all that thin. If you need the front seat mounting bracket I got mine from hawley performance.

Thats where I got my fronts from worked good except had to relocate the welded nuts a bit. I thought he was talking about the rear seat mount?

I have been following this out of curiosity.
Are you talking about #'s 5 and 6?

No, the part's I know i need are the 28 and the other part is the metal "bracket" (strap almost?) that the stud for the inner rear seat nut goes on and the bolt for the outer. That whole section is in pieces (the outer one closer to the B pillar is still intact for the most part, survived the hammer test fairly well, but the old bolt is still half in there and I'd rather just remake the bracket than spend an afternoon drilling and tapping an already crusty bit of bracket. As long as the general consensus is that that bracket isn't particularly structurally important, I have no issue with some half baked seat mounting scheme.
