Flowmaster super 44 offroad muffler
I'm thinking about picking one of these up and having a catback exhaust built around it. What size do I need? I have a 2000 Sport.

2.5" in/out
installed a super 44 offroad with an eastern catalytic converter about 2 weeks ago, been pleased so far.
look around, you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

Can I just swap out my current muffler with the 44? I imagine that'd be a lot cheaper? Where did you find yours and how much you pay?

if everything is still good and not rusted you can do that, might just need to get some new pipe when you cut the old muffler out so you can connect everything.
i got mine fully welded so it wouldn't rust where you would usually use clamps. i think i ordered it off autoanything.com

One last question. Does it matter what side the inlet is compared to outlet. i.e. inlet offset/outlet center, inlet offset/outlet offset or inlet center/outlet center?

it has to match up with your current setup. i think it's a center inlet/ offset outlet. offset on the right side i believe.
i'll try and snap a pic or two of my setup in the next day or two if you want

Yea be sure to get a center inlet/offset outlet. I didn't pay attention when I bought my muffler, oopps. One of the guys at the exhaust shop had to run me back to advance and exchange mine (center inlet/outlet)

As long as it's offset it won't matter which side...just rotate.
