flush closed loop
I'm sure there's a link out there somewhere, just not litterate enough to find it. I'm Looking for instructions on how to flush a closed loop system in my 88 & 89 (for a non-mechanic).
I'm going to try the two-hole in the thermostat method of burping after the flush, any opinions?
Thanks guys.

Get one of those flush kits. Put the T on your heater hose and disconnect the lower Rad hose. Connect the hose and and start flushing with heater on until water is clean. Button everything up and fill with the T fitting cap off. Drilling holes in the t stat works good also. Run is for a while and add more as needed.
I know its dangerous but I run it with the cap off for a while just and that seems to make the coolant level drop a bit more letting more air out. But don't try that on my account.

i flused mine with the t adapter and it works great. i always run the engine w the cap off to get all the air outta the system. not really dangerous. as long as the system isnt pressurized then taking the cap off its fine

im not sure but i think the closed loop system wa designed to flush itself over time... air leaves the system and enters the clear container and in turn draws fluid out of the container and into the system... over time it should do it itself... ive changed my radiator and everything and i did it this way and have no problems... thats why it is mounted higher then everything else...
