Fog Lights!!
I got a 1989 jeep cherokee and it came with the built in wireharness for fog lights but if I buy ones that dont fit the plug is it possible to splice into those wires and get fog lights working? Also any cheap lights that work the best?

That's what I did. I have an 89 as well and I just cut the harness off and used wire butts to connect the wires put a small amount of silicone in the ends on the butts to make sure water doesn't get in and corrode the wiring but they work great and they work with my switch inside my jeep
I picked my lights up at advanced auto parts . Any local parts store would have lights

I got crap "BAJA" lights from Wal-Mart for like 15-20 bucks. Theyw ork fine as fog lights, and are even ok driving lights. I had four on my truck at one point, 2 driving lights, 2 fog lights.
I recently went down to 2 lights, and reconditioned my old bajas. Cut the grill out of them, cleaned and painted them. Gonna add some hella H3 bulbs to get some better output.
Even after all that, including the original price of the lights, and the $44 dollar hella bulbs. Not to mention the 5 seconds with a dremel tool and a couple coats from a can of spray paint I had lying around. They'll still just be 50-60 dollar lights and be bright as heck!
And yes, splice them on in to the factory harness. they will work just like the factory ones. They will also turn off when you turn on your high beams like the factory lights. this is a nice feature in states where this is required by law. If you don't like that they turn off, you can modify the relay that controls it and they will stay on when you hit the high beams. Better and easier than having to wire them in yourself too!

i would suggest the baja lights, they are cheap and can be easily upgraded by adding bigger wire and giving it a better ground if you do a search on here im sure something will pop up on how to do it i just cant remember how, also amazon runs a good deal on kc daylighters every now and then, but you get em for 58 bucks!!!

X2! What fuse is for the Fog Lights? My fog lights on my OR-Fab winch bumper are filled with water, so I went and got new ones, Spliced into the stock harness, and they don't work. What fuses and relays should I check for proper operation? This is a vehicle with Factory Foglights. Thanks.
