Found a cheap Ford 8.8 on craigslist I am wondering what modifications if any I would need to do to my 91 cherokee with a Dana 35 to swap it out . I have every tool I could possibly need and have access to a Light welder.

Thanks did not even think to look farther then this forum I had just woke up.

 

you need to relocate shock mounts.........and more depending if its disk or drum 8.8....do you know if the gear ratio matches yours?

Its 3.73 with drums and it has a long arm 4 link bolted too it for 175$ I guess if i bought this i would have to buy the D44 front as well since it all bolted together. I think I could get the whole thing for 400

 

From what I have read, I believe if you have the D35, you also have ABS in which case the 8.8 swap won't work. I think.
