I doubt its the starter. But then again, I dunno if there is a big difference in how Renix Jeeps react to a starter not working. My 91 had that issue a couple of times; I'd turn the key and all the gauges would fly forward, the temp in the red, the volt into the 19 range, fuel to F, etc. But no crank or anything. The starter would prime and lights and everything would work. Could it possibly be a bad/loose ground wire somewire?

Sorry I couldnt help all that much. Good luck!

Snowboard, is it ok if I borrow this quote and take it to couples counseling?

It could be your neural safety switch. Go outside and put it into reverse. If your reverse lights don't come on it's a good chance it's the nss. You can take it of and rebuild it with some sand paper and new lube. Give it a shot.

1. Clean your battery connections. Both cables and posts. Until SHINY

2. Try wiggling the shift lever while turning the key and try starting in neutral. If either of these techniques works, you have verified a problem with the neutral safety switch.

Try to wiggle your fuel injectors, does it turn at all?
