So i did this today and when going to WOT the conduit only came out about one click. Then i went on the test drive and the shift from first to second was pretty rough (got a little better the more i drove) but all the others seemed smooth and just fine. Does this all sound fairly normal?? Just wanna make sure I did everything right!!

It also shifts super rough from park into drive so i definitely know something isn't right!

This little fix makes my tranny transitions like butter!

I was under the hood tracing a vacuum leak so I went ahead and did this while I was in there. I haven't noticed a difference so maybe it was already adjusted correctly.

Brutal haha I did it the other night at the gas sation. chirp the tires when it shifts into 2nd sometimes now haha

I believe you are right. It appears that the button must be depressed when going to WOT, then released. Releasing it before WOT, restricted TB lever movement (read - no WOT).......

This is exactly what happened to me. I wasn't able to go to true WOT without the button pushed down allowing the conduit to fully come out

i just did the cable fix and it worked only took 5 sec. to do it thanx

i have heard about this before, but was also warned it could really mess stuff up if you dont know what your doing. i know a fair amount about cars so im not to worried about getting the right parts or anything but is there anything that i could really mess up?

I might be really stupidd or something can I just see a video of someone doing this with audio... I tryed this earlierand think I messed up, I have to get it to about 5000 rpm to shift into 2nd is this wrong? Or could someone please help. This is my first car and I have never done any engine work.. thanks

Yea that's wrong. I might be able to get yea a video tomorrow, but no promises. Its really not hard. Just hold down the button, push the black plastic thing in all the way, let go if the button, and then take the throttle control and twist it all the way open. You will hear a clicking and popping noise as the black plastic thing you pushed in earlier slides back out to the correct position.

Just did this. Definitely firmed up the shifts. Fixed a vacuum leak too so that may have helped too. Now if this unit bearing would just buy an replace itself I'd be in business
