Default freeze plugs

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport and it's leaking water. I was told it was the freeze plug. Does the block need to be pulled to fix? One internet link made it sound easy to fix, but how do I get to the plug?
Would it be any expensive job to have my mechanic do it?

i think anything thats in the way you can move but im not sure on a jeep.. i did it on a other vehicle but not a jeep..
as for the cost.. i dont think it would be that much as long as nothin else goes wrong.. id just do it yourself

The only ones that can not be changed with the motor in the jeep would be the ones in the rear.

There is one on the back of the head and one BEHIND the bell housing. The othe four are under the intake. As long as it is one of the ones under the intake you will not have to pull the motor.
