Question Front coil to leaf conversion?

Has anyone converted their front coils to leaf springs? I was wanting to do this to mine so i can just lift it with blocks and itd be super cheap! If you have, instructions and picks would be great. Not looking for "shouldnt does" and "you dont wannas" because i want to and i more than likely will. So post or message if youve got some good instructions and pictures. Thanks guys!

there are quite a few builds on this here and there on the forum that are pritty helpful. But what i may mention is that from the ones that i have seen, you will probly end up spending just about as much money in parts that you would a 3" or 4" lift. if your planning on going taller then it would probly be best for you to go ahead and do it. I'll be honest, I was gonna do that to mine, but once i started researching it, it seemed to be more complicated to do then I originally thought it would be so i didn't.

Here is a good detailed thread on how to do it.

Hope you can weld, there is a lot of fab that goes into a front leaf setup.

Most use YJ springs, with a rear shackle and build the rest around that. Good luck.

Sounds difficult. Using blocks under the front end leaves isn't all that safe (or legal in most states). One can get a lot more flex out of leaf springs. Check the fabrication section.

it is alot of fabbing and i wouldnt do a block. it is simple and easy but a buddy of mine busted one on a trail and had to leave it up there.(for the night) i would go with a aal before blocks and full leaf pack before either one.
