Default Front Driveshaft U-joint Size Issue

Hey all, I have a weird issue that I can't seem to find any information about. For background, I have a 1995 Cherokee Sport 4x2 that I purchased new in 1995. In 2012, I purchased a front axle/transmission, transfer Case, driveshafts, etc from a 1997 that happened to be getting a 4x2 conversion for racing. Anyway, the install all went fine, but the only lingering issue I've had is front driveshaft vibration. I had it professionally balanced and that didn't help much. Anyway, I recently decided to replace the front driveshaft u-joint at the differential. I purchased a 1310 style and it was way to large in the cross axis dimension. The u-joint that came out is a Moog 429, which seems to fit well. It's cross-wdith is 2.375" versus the 1310 which is 3.218" according to research. I can't seem to find anyone on the forums that has encountered this. I don't really know much about the history of the donor vehicle, but it looked stock and none of the parts I swapped in looked modified or even touched for that matter. Anyway, am I missing something? There's no way a 1310 would fit, I tried and it was obviously too long. Both the driveshaft and the yoke at the differential seem designed for a Moog 429 (Cleveland S55) size u-joint or at least something very close to that size....

Thanks,
Jeff

Okay, so I have some clarification now: the dimension listed for the Moog 429 is from inside snap ring to inside snap ring. This particular u-joint can accommodate both inside and end cap snap rings. I can't find a published end cap to end cap dimension for this style, but I can compare it to a 1310 when it arrives. I think I'm all good though. This whole issue stemmed from the Mood 369 (which is also a 1310 sized u-joint) I received from Amazon was way too large and must have been the wrong part and I didn't notice. I returned it without really questioning it and just reordered the exact part number (429) that the drivetrain shop installed when they rebuilt and balanced the driveshaft. I was having some slight fitment issues with the u-joint at the diff yoke last night and ended up down this rabbit hole. I think I can make the 429 fit, but if not, I have a Moog 369 coming which is a 1310 sized u-joint. Thanks,

Jeff

Always best to stick with Spicer. They make good stuff.
