Question Front passenger door won't open from inside or outside...

Its like the inside door handle and lock aren't connected to anything.

Okay gurus, what do I need to do? Is this a common problem?

Thanks!!

i have a buddy that has a wrangler and you can open the door from the outside latch, but if you are inside the jeep you have to roll the window down and that triggers the manual lock and opens the door

this has happened to my jeep on the driver side door 3 times now. what i did was take the part where the handle is off. unscrew it. it should only be held on by 3 smalls screws. its a 15 minute job if its like mine. then toy with the rod that goes back to the locking mechanism. it should unlock. then from there the door can open and you can take the door panel off. after that make sure all the rods are connected and not disconnected. let me know if it all works.
