Ok. I totally understand. Not looking to fire the parts cannon as I could be replacing items that are still doing their jobs.
I believe I will start with an appointment for an alignment and see what he says. A year and a half ago I went in for one and he said I would have to replace the right side U joint and wheel bearing. I did so but never went back for the alignment.

Only did it this way because I'm giving it to my son for his first vehicle and wanted it road worthy problem free for a long time. That and I got in the hang again of working on vehicles once I get started its hard to stop!..lol

This is true. And Jeeps are relatively easy to work with so long as you don’t break any bolts lol 😂

Control arms, or maybe your brakes have wore the infamous Groove on your knuckle, hanging the front brakes, perhaps.

Replaced control arms 5 years ago and I haven’t heard of the groove on the knuckle before.
I replaced all five wheel hub lugs. Why you ask? Well this dumb *** forgot to tighten the lug nuts all the way and drove to work. Luckily I only have a 10 minute ride. When I turned onto the driveway at work my wheel went flyin. I was only doing about 25 mph and pulled off into the grass.
Anywho, right before I dropped the Jeep off the jack stands I wanted to check any wheel play. You know how you check for wheel bearing play by pushing and pulling on the top and bottom of tire? No play at all but....
What about a little play pushing and pulling the sides??

Groove on the knuckles is where the pads slide and wears. I had to fill mine back in with weld

Side to side movement is TRE, tie rod end. But I've never really thought TRE would cause wobble and clicking. The wobble, take it to the alignment shop like mentioned. They'll do the dirty work of finding the weak link. And the knuckle groove, due to brake rub, it will make noises, clicks and such. hope you find what's going on.

There can be several worn parts that can give the classic jeep "death wobble" affect... typically though it's caused also by a worn track bar... if that is worn... it lets the front axle float/shift from side to side at speed giving you the "death wobble" affect.

Totally agree with this, and if your track bar is factory like mine was, the axle side bolt likes to wallow out the hole and cause movement.

Not so much “Death” wobble as a sporadic wobble at different speeds that feels like the left wheel. It doesn’t shake the rust off just causes me to automatically let off the gas.
I made an alignment appointment but have to wait two weeks 🤬

UPDATE
So I stopped by a local garage and explained I do my own repairs I just need a pro to tell me what’s wrong. I talked him into agreeing to take the Jeep for a spin for me. Then he let me go for a ride in the Jeep on the car lift and put it in 4hi and in drive. The front drive shaft is spent. He didn’t charge me anything and told me if I take it out he’s pretty sure he has a used one laying around.
Thanks Jimmy, owner, 76 Station Bainbridge Pa.

Spent? As in new ujoints? Or like warped? Ujoints you can do, and rebuild that front drive shaft

Yeah, what means "spent"?

All the brain lights and alarms go off when somebody says "Oh the **** is spent".
